Privacy Policy
How we handle information when you visit urbanoceancorp.com or get in touch.
This Privacy Policy explains how Urban Ocean Corporation (“Urban Ocean,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit urbanoceancorp.com (the “Site”) or contact us. Urban Ocean is an operating holding company headquartered in Plainview, New York. Questions? Email privacy@urbanoceancorp.com.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information we collect through:
- urbanoceancorp.com and the pages linked from it
- The contact form at /contact and any other forms you submit
- Emails, phone calls, and other direct communications with our team
It does not apply to our operating ventures — UOTech.co, UOTech.ai, and ClubAdmins.com — which operate their own websites, products, and privacy policies. If you are a client or user of one of those ventures, that venture's policy and your agreement with it govern your information, not this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you fill out a form, email us, or call us, you may share:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company or organization (optional)
- Anything you write in the message field, including what you're building or want to discuss
- Anything else you choose to share in follow-up conversations
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you browse the Site, our hosting and security providers automatically receive:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type, operating system, and device information
- The pages you visit and how you navigate between them
- The referring URL that brought you to the Site
- General location derived from your IP address (typically city or region)
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information from the service providers that help us run the Site (see Section 5) and from publicly available sources, such as a company website or public business registration.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and have a relevant conversation
- Send messages you ask for, such as a reply or meeting confirmation
- Operate, secure, improve, and debug the Site
- Protect against spam, fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Meet our legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations
- Carry out any other purpose you consent to at the time we collect the information
We do not use the information you submit through our forms to train general-purpose AI models, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site is deliberately light on tracking. We use onlystrictly necessary technologies — the security and bot-protection cookies set by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and our spam-protection widget (Cloudflare Turnstile) — to deliver pages securely and keep the contact form free of abuse. These cannot be switched off because the Site relies on them.
We do not currently run analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies on this Site. The Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts; when it does, your browser contacts Google's servers, which receive your IP address. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required by law.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share it in these ways:
- Service providers. Vendors that help us run the Site, only to perform services for us. Current categories: hosting, CDN, security, and bot protection (Cloudflare); contact-form email delivery (SMTP2GO); and web fonts (Google Fonts).
- Corporate transactions. If Urban Ocean is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Legal, safety, and enforcement. When we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with the law or legal process, enforce our terms, investigate violations, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Urban Ocean, our ventures, our team, or the public.
- With your consent. In any other case, we will ask first.
6. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required or allowed by law. Contact submissions are kept for the life of our relationship with you and a reasonable period after; server and security logs are kept for a short period; and accounting and tax records are kept for the period required by law, typically at least seven years. When we no longer need information, we delete it, anonymize it, or put it beyond further use.
7. Your Choices
- You can decline to share information — if you don't submit the form, we simply won't have it.
- You can ask us to update your information by emailing privacy@urbanoceancorp.com.
- You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in that email.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.
8. Your Rights Under State Privacy Laws
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to opt out of the sale of personal information or its sharing for targeted advertising; to opt out of certain profiling; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; to appeal a decision on a request; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
8.1 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past twelve months we have collected the categories described in Section 2 (identifiers, contact details, internet activity, and geolocation derived from IP) and used and disclosed them as described in Sections 3 and 5. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect the personal information of consumers under sixteen.
8.2 Residents of other states
If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law — including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia — you may have some or all of the rights above. The specifics vary by state. If your state isn't listed and you'd like to exercise a right, contact us anyway and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
8.3 New York residents
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for the private information of New York residents under the SHIELD Act, and will provide breach notice as required.
8.4 How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@urbanoceancorp.comwith the subject “Privacy Rights Request.” Include enough information for us to verify your identity and tell us which right you'd like to exercise. We will respond within the timeframe your state's law requires. If we deny a request, you may appeal by emailing us with the subject “Privacy Appeal.”
9. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, logging and monitoring, and review of the vendors we rely on. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and the adults who run them. We do not direct it to children under thirteen and do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to Other Sites
The Site links to our ventures and other third-party sites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their privacy practices. Review each site's own policy before sharing information there.
12. Users Outside the United States
The Site is operated from and intended for users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not offer the same protections as your country. By using the Site, you consent to that transfer and processing.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
